Investing in Smarter Infrastructure

One of the most visible examples of that commitment can be found at our headquarters, where our rooftop solar installation is undergoing a major rehabilitation project. Originally commissioned in 2011, the system was one of the largest rooftop solar installations on a multi-story industrial building in the United States. Today, we’re working to restore it to full performance so it can continue delivering value for years to come.

The rehabilitation project reflects our commitment to responsible asset stewardship. Rather than replacing existing infrastructure, we’re investing in restoring and maintaining a valuable renewable energy asset that supports both operational efficiency and our long-term sustainability goals. Once restored, the system is expected to generate approximately 1.8 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, helping offset a significant portion of the facility’s electrical demand.

By increasing onsite renewable energy production and reducing dependence on grid electricity, this investment will continue delivering both environmental and operational benefits for years to come.

Our sustainability efforts extend well beyond solar energy. Across our operations, we continue to implement technologies and equipment that improve efficiency while reducing environmental impact.

From operating more than 100 electric forklifts and expanding electric yard operations to utilizing a SmartWay-certified fleet and supporting the adoption of zero-emission vehicles, we’re continuing to invest in cleaner, more efficient ways to operate. These initiatives help reduce environmental impact while maintaining the dependable service and operational excellence our customers expect.

Within our facilities, energy-efficient lighting systems, motion-sensor technology, and ongoing operational improvements further support our commitment to responsible resource management and continuous innovation.
