About Us

Our harbor and intermodal shipping division specializes in import and export container drayage to and from all California Ports, intermodal shipping, and transloading.  Our fleet is more than 164 tractors strong.  In 2009, we purchased a new fleet of EPA compliant tractors in an effort to do our part environmentally and to comply with stricter environmental port requirements.  As a trucking company, it is challenging to go green but we've taken many significant steps toward this goal and are staying ahead of the environmental curve.

Now, nearly 40 years later, our harbor drayage services cover all of the Southwest United States and our intermodal shipping capabilities extend worldwide.  In Southern California, we have offices and a container yard in San Pedro, CA, just steps from the Los Angeles and San Pedro Ports.  We also have a container yard in Ontario, CA, and in Vernon, CA.  In Northern California, our office and container yard is in San Leandro, CA, close to The Port of Oakland.

Dependable continues our company-wide commitment to green technology.   All of our asset-based trucking operations have replaced a majority of our power equipment not only to comply with, but to surpass the current EPA Fuel Emissions Standards. Further, our corporate office in downtown Los Angeles has installed the world’s largest industrial high-rise solar grid, generating over 1.8MM kilowatt-hours of clean, green electricity annually.  We have installed thousands of energy efficient lighting fixtures, use electric forklifts, and we recycle everything from cardboard to computer equipment.  Just as we strive to be a market leader in integrated logistics, we also aspire to be a leader in responsible, sustainable corporate citizenship.
